Chief Executive Position Vacancy
The East Asian – Australasian Flyway Partnership is inviting applications for the position of Chief Executive to lead the new Secretariat being established in Incheon, Republic of Korea (open until 09:00pm 8th July 2009).
The Partnership has been formed to promote dialogue and collaboration for the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats across the East Asian - Australasian Flyway. It is a voluntary initiative - currently with 20 partners including; ten countries within the Flyway, three intergovernmental agencies and seven international non-government organizations.
The Secretariat will facilitate communication and coordination of the Partnership and assist Partners to develop and implement collaborative activities across the Flyway.
In this exciting and challenging new position the Chief Executive will lead the establishment and operation of the Secretariat. The Secretariat is anticipated to grow to at least five staff. We are looking for an experienced team leader who can work and communicate effectively with a wide range of international stakeholders. The successful applicant will have the experience and confidence needed to work closely with governments, intergovernmental organizations, international NGOs and the corporate sector.
